وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ صَلَاةَ الْعَتَمَةِ فَقَرَأَ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: مَا هَذِهِ السَّجْدَةُ؟ فَقَالَ: سَجَدْتُ بِهَا خَلْفَ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ بِهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ وقَالَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى: «فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُهَا»
عبید اللہ بن معاذ غنبری ارو محمد بن عبد الاعلیٰ نے کہا : ہمیں معتمر نے اپنے والد ( سلیمان تیمی ) سے حدیث سنائی ‘ انھوں نے بکر ( بن عبد اللہ مزنی ) سے اور انھوں نے ابو رافع سے روایت کی ‘ انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت ابوھریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ عشاء کی نماز پڑھی تو انھوں نے ( اذا السّماء انشقّت ) کی تلاوت کی اور اس میں سجدہ کیا ۔ میں نے پوچھا : یہ سجدہ کیسا ہے ؟انھوں نے جواب دیا : میں نے اس میں ابوالقاسم ( محمد رسو ل اللہ ﷺ ) کے پیچھے سجدہ کیا ‘ اس لیے میں اس میں ہمیشہ سحدہ کرتا رہوں گا یہاں تک کہ آپ ( ﷺ ) سے جا ملوں ۔ ( محمد ) بن عبد الاعلیٰ نے کہا : میں بھی ہمیشہ یہ سجدہ کرتا ہوں ۔
Abu Rafi' reported: I said the night prayer along with Abu Huraira and -as he recited: When the heaven burst asunder, he performed prostration. Isaid to him: What prostration is this? He said: I prostrated myself (on this occasion of recital) behind Abu'I-Qasim (Muhammad. may peace be upon him), and Iwould go on doing this till I meet him (in the next world). Ibn 'Abu al-A'la said: (Abu Huraira uttered this: ) I would not abandon performing prostration.

Hadith 1162
Ibrahim b. Yazid al-Tayml reported: I used to read the Qur'an with my father in the vestibule (before the door of the mosque). When I recited the ayat (verses) concerning prostration, he prostrated himself. I said to him: Father, do you prostrate yourself in the path? He said: I heard Abu Dharr saying: I asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about the mosque that was first set up on the earth. He said: Masjid Harim. I said: Then which next? He said: The Masjid al-Aqsa. I said: How long is the space of time between the two? He said: Forty years. He (then) further said: The earth is a mosque for you, so wherever you are at the time of prayer, pray there.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported: The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: I have been conferred upon five (things) which were not granted to anyone before me (and these are): Every apostle wassent particularly to his own people, whereas I have been sent to all the red and the black the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, and these were never made lawful to anyone before me, and the earth has been made sacred and pure and mosque for me, so whenever the time of prayer comes for any one of you he should pray whenever he is, and I have been supported by awe (by which the enemy is overwhelmed) from the distance (which one takes) one month to cover and I have been granted intercession.
