حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ: «سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَاتُ الَّتِي أَرَاكَ أَحْدَثْتَهَا تَقُولُهَا؟ قَالَ: «جُعِلَتْ لِي عَلَامَةٌ فِي أُمَّتِي إِذَا رَأَيْتُهَا قُلْتُهَا» {إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللهِ وَالْفَتْحُ} [النصر: 1] إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ
ابو معاویہ نے اعمش سے ، انہوں نے مسلم ( بن صبیح سے ، انہوں نے مسروق سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول لالہﷺ وفات سے پہلے بکثرت یہ فرماتے تھے : ’’ ( اے اللہ! ) میں تیری حمد ے ساتھ تیری ستائش کرتاہوں ، تجھ سے بخشش طلب کرتا ہوں اور تیری طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں ۔ ‘ ‘ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا : میں نے پوچھا : اے اللہ کے رسول! یہ کلمے کیا ہیں جو میں دیکھتی ہوں کہ آپ نے اب کہنے شروع کر دیے ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’میرے لیے میری امت میں ایک علامت مقرر کر دی گئی ہے کہ جب میں اسے دیکھ لوں تو یہ ( کلمے ) کہوں : ’’جب اللہ کی نصرت اور فتح آ پہنچے .... ) ‘ ‘ سورت کے آخر تک
A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before his death recited often: Hallowed be Thou, and with Thy praise, I seek forgiveness from Thee and return to Thee. She reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, what are these words that I find you reciting? He said: There has been made a sign for me in my Ummah; when I saw that, I uttered them (these words of glorification for Allah), and the sign is: When Allah's help and victory..... to the end of the surah.

Anas reported: Bilal was commanded (by the Messenger of Allah) to repeat (the phrases of) Adhan twice and once in Iqama. The narrator said: I made a mention of it before Ayyub who said: Except for saying: Qamat-is-Salat [the time for prayer has come].

Abu Mahdhura said that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) taught him Adhan like this: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and it should be again repeated: I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to the prayer (twice). Come to success (twice). Ishaq added: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there Is no god but Allah.
