حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ هِنْدٍ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَامَ النِّسَاءُ حِينَ يَقْضِي تَسْلِيمَهُ ، وَمَكَثَ يَسِيرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : فَأُرَى وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مُكْثَهُ لِكَيْ يَنْفُذَ النِّسَاءُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُنَّ مَنِ انْصَرَفَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ .
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابرہیم بن سعد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابن شہاب زہری نے ہند بنت حارث سے حدیث بیان کی کہ (ام المؤمنین) ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب ( نماز سے ) سلام پھیرتے تو سلام کے ختم ہوتے ہی عورتیں کھڑی ہو جاتیں ( باہر آنے کے لیے ) اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہونے سے پہلے تھوڑی دیر ٹھہرے رہتے تھے۔ ابن شہاب رحمہ اللہ نے کہا میں سمجھتا ہوں اور پورا علم تو اللہ ہی کو ہے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس لیے ٹھہر جاتے تھے کہ عورتیں جلدی چلی جائیں اور مرد نماز سے فارغ ہو کر ان کو نہ پائیں۔
Narrated Um Salama: Whenever Allah's Apostle finished his prayers with Taslim, the women would get up and he would stay on for a while in his place before getting up. Ibn Shihab said, I think (and Allah knows better), that the purpose of his stay was that the women might leave before the men who had finished their prayer.

Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah: My father said, Allah's Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd. And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.

Narrated Nafi`: Whenever Ibn `Umar started the prayer with Takbir, he used to raise his hands: whenever he bowed, he used to raise his hands (before bowing) and also used to raise his hands on saying, Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah , and he used to do the same on rising from the second rak`a (for the 3rd rak`a). Ibn `Umar said: The Prophet used to do the same.
