حَدَّثَنَا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَكَمُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رُكُوعُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسُجُودُهُ وَبَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ مَا خَلَا الْقِيَامَ وَالْقُعُودَ قَرِيبًا مِنَ السَّوَاءِ .
ہم سے بدل بن محبر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھے حکم نے ابن ابی لیلیٰ سے خبر دی، انہوں نے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے، انہوں نے بتلایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے رکوع و سجود، دونوں سجدوں کے درمیان کا وقفہ اور جب رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تو تقریباً سب برابر تھے۔ سوا قیام اور تشہد کے قعود کے۔
Narrated Al-Bara: The bowing, the prostration the sitting in between the two prostrations and the standing after the bowing of the Prophet but not qiyam (standing in the prayer) and qu`ud (sitting in the prayer) used to be approximately equal (in duration).

Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah: My father said, Allah's Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka l-hamd. And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.

Ibn `Umar said: The Prophet used to do the same.
