حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، ذُكِرَ شَرُّ الثَّلَاثَةِ عِنْدَ عِكْرِمَةَ ، فَقَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ حَمَلَ قُثَمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَالْفَضْلَ خَلْفَهُ ، أَوْ قُثَمَ خَلْفَهُ وَالْفَضْلَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَأَيُّهُمْ شَرٌّ أَوْ أَيُّهُمْ خَيْرٌ .
مجھ سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالوہاب نے، کہا ہم سے ایوب سختیانی نے کہ عکرمہ کے سامنے یہ ذکر آیا کہ تین آدمی جو ایک جانور پر چڑھیں اس میں کون بہت برا ہے۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( مکہ مکرمہ ) تشریف لائے تو آپ قثم بن عباس کو اپنی سواری پر آگے اور فضل بن عباس کو پیچھے بٹھائے ہوئے تھے۔ یا قثم پیچھے تھے اور فضل آگے تھے ( رضی اللہ عنہم ) اب تم ان میں سے کسے برا کہو گے اور کسے اچھا۔
Narrated Aiyub: The worst of three (persons riding one, animal) was mentioned in `Ikrima's presence `Ikrima said, Ibn `Abbas said, '(In the year of the conquest of Mecca) the Prophet came and mounted Qutham in front of him and Al-Fadl behind him, or Qutham behind him and Al-Fadl in front of him.' Now which of them was the worst off and which was the best?
