حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ هَلِ اتَّخَذَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا ؟ قَالَ : أَخَّرَ لَيْلَةً صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا وَإِنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُوهَا .
ہم سے عبدان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو یزید بن زریع نے خبر دی، کہا ہم کو حمید نے خبر دی، کہا انہوں نے کہ انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا گیا کیا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انگوٹھی بنوائی تھی؟ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک رات عشاء کی نماز آدھی رات میں پڑھائی۔ پھر چہرہ مبارک ہماری طرف کیا، جیسے اب بھی میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی انگوٹھی کی چمک دیکھ رہا ہوں۔ فرمایا کہ بہت سے لوگ نماز پڑھ کر سو چکے ہوں گے لیکن تم اس وقت بھی نماز میں ہو جب تک تم نماز کا انتظار کرتے رہے ہو۔
Narrated Humaid: Anas was asked, Did the Prophet wear a ring? Anas said, Once he delayed the: `Isha' prayer till midnight. Then he came, facing us ..... as if l am now Looking at the glitter of his ring ..... and said, The people have offered their prayers and slept but you have been in prayer as you have been waiting for it.
