حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ ، قَالَ : وَمَا الْفَأْلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد مسندی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو ہشام بن یوسف نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو معمر نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”بدشگونی کی کوئی اصل نہیں اور اس میں بہتر فال نیک ہے۔“ لوگوں نے پوچھا کہ نیک فال کیا ہے یا رسول اللہ؟ فرمایا ”کلمہ صالحہ ( نیک بات ) جو تم میں سے کوئی سنے۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, There is no Tiyara and the best omen is the Fal, Somebody said, What is the Fal, O Allah's Apostle? He said, A good word that one of you hears (and takes as a good omen).
