حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَوْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ .
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوالاحوص نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سعید بن مسروق نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبایہ بن رفاعہ نے، ان سے ان کے دادا رافع بن خدیج نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”بخار جہنم کی بھاپ میں سے ہے پس اسے پانی سے ٹھنڈا کر لیا کرو۔
Narrated Rafi` bin Khadij: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, Fever is from the heat of Hell, so abate fever with water.
