حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ أَخِي اسْتَطْلَقَ بَطْنُهُ ، فَقَالَ : اسْقِهِ عَسَلًا ، فَسَقَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي سَقَيْتُهُ ، فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا اسْتِطْلَاقًا ، فَقَالَ : صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ ، تَابَعَهُ النَّضْرُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ .
ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے، ان سے ابوالمتوکل نے اور ان سے ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ ایک صاحب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا کہ میرے بھائی کو دست آ رہے ہیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ انہیں شہد پلاؤ۔ انہوں نے پلایا اور پھر واپس آ کر کہا کہ میں نے انہیں شہد پلایا لیکن ان کے دستوں میں کوئی کمی نہیں ہوئی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے سچ فرمایا اور تمہارے بھائی کا پیٹ جھوٹا ہے ( آخر شہد ہی سے اسے شفاء ہوئی ) ۔ محمد بن جعفر کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو نضر بن شمیل نے بھی شعبہ سے روایت کیا ہے۔
Narrated Abu Sa`id: A man came to the prophet and said, 'My brother has got loose motions. The Prophet said, Let him drink honey. The man again (came) and said, 'I made him drink (honey) but that made him worse.' The Prophet said, 'Allah has said the Truth, and the `Abdomen of your brother has told a lie. (See Hadith No. 88)
