حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ غُلَامًا لِيَهُودَ كَانَ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرِضَ ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَسْلِمْ . فَأَسْلَمَ ، وَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ : لَمَّا حُضِرَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ جَاءَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے ثابت نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ ایک یہودی لڑکا ( عبدوس نامی ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت کیا کرتا تھا وہ بیمار ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کی مزاج پرسی کے لیے تشریف لائے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اسلام قبول کر لے چنانچہ اس نے اسلام قبول کر لیا اور سعید بن مسیب نے بیان کیا اپنے والد سے کہ جب ابوطالب کی وفات کا وقت قریب ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس مزاج پرسی کے لیے تشریف لے گئے۔
Narrated Anas: A Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet and became ill. The Prophet went to pay him a visit and said to him, Embrace Islam, and he did embrace Islam. Al-Musaiyab said: When Abu Talib was on his deathbed, the Prophet visited him.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes. (See Hadith No. 558, Vol. 9.)
