حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِذَا أَنْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ يَحْتَسِبُهَا فَهُوَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ .
ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں مجھ کو عدی بن ثابت نے خبر دی، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن یزید سے سنا، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن مسعود سے نقل کیا انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب آدمی ثواب کی نیت سے اپنے اہل و عیال پر خرچ کرے پس وہ بھی اس کے لیے صدقہ ہے۔
Narrated Abu Mas'ud: The Prophet said, If a man spends on his family (with the intention of having a reward from Allah) sincerely for Allah's sake then it is a (kind of) alms-giving in reward for him.
