حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، سَمِعَ مُجَاهِدًا ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهَا السَّلَام أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا ، فَقَالَ : أَلَا أُخْبِرُكِ مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْهُ ؟ تُسَبِّحِينَ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ مَنَامِكِ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ ، وَتَحْمَدِينَ اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ ، وَتُكَبِّرِينَ اللَّهَ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : إِحْدَاهُنَّ أَرْبَعٌ وَثَلَاثُونَ ، فَمَا تَرَكْتُهَا بَعْدُ قِيلَ وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ ، قَالَ : وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ .
ہم سے عبداللہ بن زبیر حمیدی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبیداللہ بن ابی یزید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے مجاہد سے سنا، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن ابی لیلیٰ سے سنا، ان سے علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئی تھیں اور آپ سے ایک خادم مانگا تھا، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ کیا میں تمہیں ایک ایسی چیز نہ بتا دوں جو تمہارے لیے اس سے بہتر ہو۔ سوتے وقت تینتیس ( 33 ) مرتبہ «سبحان الله»، تینتیس ( 33 ) مرتبہ «الحمد الله» اور چونتیس ( 34 ) مرتبہ «الله اكبر» پڑھ لیا کرو۔ سفیان بن عیینہ نے کہا کہ ان میں سے ایک کلمہ چونتیس بار کہہ لے۔ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ پھر میں نے ان کلموں کو کبھی نہیں چھوڑا۔ ان سے پوچھا گیا جنگ صفین کی راتوں میں بھی نہیں؟ کہا کہ صفین کی راتوں میں بھی نہیں۔
Narrated `Ali bin Abi Talib: Fatima came to the Prophet asking for a servant. He said, May I inform you of something better than that? When you go to bed, recite Subhan Allah' thirty three times, 'Al hamduli l-lah' thirty three times, and 'Allahu Akbar' thirty four times. 'All added, 'I have never failed to recite it ever since. Somebody asked, Even on the night of the battle of Siffin? He said, No, even on the night of the battle of Siffin.

Narrated Sa`d: The Prophet visited me at Mecca while I was ill. I said (to him), I have property; May I bequeath all my property in Allah's Cause? He said, No. I said, Half of it? He said, No. I said, One third of it? He said, One-third (is alright), yet it is still too much, for you'd better leave your inheritors wealthy than leave them poor, begging of others. Whatever you spend will be considered a Sadaqa for you, even the mouthful of food you put in the mouth of your wife. Anyhow Allah may let you recover, so that some people may benefit by you and others be harmed by you.

A wife says, 'You should either provide me with food or divorce me.' A slave says, 'Give me food and enjoy my service. A son says, Give me food; to whom do you leave me? The people said, O Abu Huraira! Did you hear that from Allah's Apostle ? He said, No, it is from my own self.
