حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى يَقْرَأُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ وَيَنْفُثُ ، فَلَمَّا اشْتَدَّ وَجَعُهُ كُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَمْسَحُ بِيَدِهِ رَجَاءَ بَرَكَتِهَا .
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی، انہیں ابن شہاب نے، انہیں عروہ بن زبیر نے اور انہیں عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب بیمار پڑتے تو معوذات کی سورتیں پڑھ کر اسے اپنے اوپر دم کرتے ( اس طرح کہ ہوا کے ساتھ کچھ تھوک بھی نکلتا ) پھر جب ( مرض الموت میں ) آپ کی تکلیف بڑھ گئی تو میں ان سورتوں کو پڑھ کر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھوں سے برکت کی امید میں آپ کے جسد مبارک پر پھیرتی تھی۔
Narrated `Aisha: Whenever Allah's Apostle became sick, he would recite Mu'awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An- Nas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.

Narrated Abu `Uthman: I was informed that Gabriel came to the Prophet while Um Salama was with him. Gabriel started talking (to the Prophet). Then the Prophet asked Um Salama, Who is this?
