حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ يَعْرِضُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّ عَامٍ مَرَّةً ، فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ فِي الْعَامِ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ ، وَكَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ كُلَّ عَامٍ عَشْرًا ، فَاعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ فِي الْعَامِ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ .
ہم سے خالد بن یزید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوبکر بن عیاش نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوحصین نے، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ہر سال ایک مرتبہ قرآن مجید کا دورہ کیا کرتے تھے لیکن جس سال نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہوئی اس میں انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ دو مرتبہ دورہ کیا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہر سال دس دن کا اعتکاف کیا کرتے تھے لیکن جس سال آپ کی وفات ہوئی اس سال آپ نے بیس دن کا اعتکاف کیا۔
Narrated Abu-Huraira: Gabriel used to repeat the recitation of the Qur'an with the Prophet once a year, but he repeated it twice with him in the year he died. The Prophet used to stay in I`tikaf for ten days every year (in the month of Ramadan), but in the year of his death, he stayed in I`tikaf for twenty days.

Narrated Abu `Uthman: I was informed that Gabriel came to the Prophet while Um Salama was with him. Gabriel started talking (to the Prophet). Then the Prophet asked Um Salama, Who is this? She replied, He is Dihya (al-Kalbi). When Gabriel had left, Um Salama said, By Allah, I did not take him for anybody other than him (i.e. Dihya) till I heard the sermon of the Prophet wherein he informed about the news of Gabriel.
