حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : إِذَا سَرَّكَ أَنْ تَعْلَمَ جَهْلَ الْعَرَبِ فَاقْرَأْ مَا فَوْقَ الثَّلَاثِينَ وَمِائَةٍ فِي سُورَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا أَوْلادَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ قَدْ ضَلُّوا وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ سورة الأنعام آية 140 .
ہم سے ابولنعمان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے بشر نے، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ اگر تم کو عرب کی جہالت معلوم کرنا اچھا لگے تو سورۃ الانعام میں ایک سو تیس آیتوں کے بعد یہ آیتیں پڑھ لو «قد خسر الذين قتلوا أولادهم سفها بغير علم» ”یقیناً وہ لوگ تباہ ہوئے جنہوں نے اپنی اولاد کو نادانی سے مار ڈالا۔“ سے لے کر «قد ضلوا وما كانوا مهتدين» ”وہ گمراہ ہیں، راہ پانے والے نہیں۔“ تک۔
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: If you wish to know about the ignorance of the Arabs, refer to Surat-al-Anam after Verse No. 130:-- Indeed lost are those who have killed their children From folly without knowledge and have forbidden that which Allah has provided for them, inventing a lie against Allah. They have indeed gone astray and were not guided.' (6.14)
