حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قَالَ : اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ نِسَاءٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يُكَلِّمْنَهُ وَيَسْتَكْثِرْنَهُ عَالِيَةً أَصْوَاتُهُنَّ ، فَلَمَّا اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرُ قُمْنَ يَبْتَدِرْنَ الْحِجَابَ ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضْحَكُ ، فَقَالَ : عُمَرُ أَضْحَكَ اللَّهُ سِنَّكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : عَجِبْتُ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ اللَّاتِي كُنَّ عِنْدِي فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَ صَوْتَكَ ابْتَدَرْنَ الْحِجَابَ ، قَالَ عُمَرُ : فَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كُنْتَ أَحَقَّ أَنْ يَهَبْنَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَيْ عَدُوَّاتِ أَنْفُسِهِنَّ أَتَهَبْنَنِي ، وَلَا تَهَبْنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قُلْنَ : نَعَمْ أَنْتَ أَفَظُّ وَأَغْلَظُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا لَقِيَكَ الشَّيْطَانُ قَطُّ سَالِكًا فَجًّا إِلَّا سَلَكَ فَجًّا غَيْرَ فَجِّكَ .
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یعقوب بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہمارے والد نے بیان کیا، ان سے صالح نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے عبدالحمید بن عبدالرحمٰن بن زید نے خبر دی، انہیں محمد بن سعد بن ابی وقاص (رضی اللہ عنہ) نے خبر دی اور ان سے ان کے والد سعد بن ابی وقاص نے بیان کیا کہ ایک دفعہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہونے کی اجازت چاہی۔ اس وقت چند قریشی عورتیں ( خود آپ کی بیویاں ) آپ کے پاس بیٹھی آپ سے گفتگو کر رہی تھیں اور آپ سے ( خرچ میں ) بڑھانے کا سوال کر رہی تھیں۔ خوب آواز بلند کر کے۔ لیکن جونہی عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اجازت چاہی، وہ خواتین جلدی سے پردے کے پیچھے چلی گئیں۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اجازت دی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسکرا رہے تھے۔ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا، اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیشہ آپ کو ہنساتا رکھے۔ یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے فرمایا کہ مجھے ان عورتوں پر تعجب ہوا ابھی ابھی میرے پاس تھیں، لیکن جب تمہاری آواز سنی تو پردے کے پیچھے جلدی سے بھاگ گئیں۔ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا، لیکن آپ یا رسول اللہ! زیادہ اس کے مستحق تھے کہ آپ سے یہ ڈرتیں، پھر انہوں نے کہا: اے اپنی جانوں کے دشمنو! مجھ سے تو تم ڈرتی ہو اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نہیں ڈرتیں۔ ازواج مطہرات بولیں کہ واقعہ یہی ہے کیونکہ آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے برخلاف مزاج میں بہت سخت ہیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس ذات کی قسم! جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، اگر شیطان بھی کہیں راستے میں تم سے مل جائے، تو جھٹ وہ راستہ چھوڑ کر دوسرا راستہ اختیار کر لیتا ہے۔“
Narrated Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas: Once `Umar asked the leave to see Allah's Apostle in whose company there were some Quraishi women who were talking to him and asking him for more financial support raising their voices. When `Umar asked permission to enter the women got up (quickly) hurrying to screen themselves. When Allah's Apostle admitted `Umar, Allah's Apostle was smiling, `Umar asked, O Allah's Apostle! May Allah keep you gay always. Allah's Apostle said, I am astonished at these women who were with me. As soon as they heard your voice, they hastened to screen themselves. `Umar said, O Allah's Apostle! You have more right to be feared by them. Then he addressed (those women) saying, O enemies of your own souls! Do you fear me and not Allah's Apostle ? They replied. Yes, for you are a fearful and fierce man as compared with Allah's Apostle. On that Allah's Apostle said (to `Umar), By Him in Whose Hands my life is, whenever Satan sees you taking a path, he follows a path other than yours.

Hadith 3190
Narrated `Imran bin Husain: Some people of Bani Tamim came to the Prophet and he said (to them), O Bani Tamim! rejoice with glad tidings. They said, You have given us glad tidings, now give us something. On hearing that the color of his face changed then the people of Yemen came to him and he said, O people of Yemen ! Accept the good tidings, as Bani Tamim has refused them. The Yemenites said, We accept them. Then the Prophet started taking about the beginning of creation and about Allah's Throne. In the mean time a man came saying, O `Imran! Your she-camel has run away!'' (I got up and went away), but l wish I had not left that place (for I missed what Allah's Apostle had said).

Narrated Imran bin Husain: I went to the Prophet and tied my she-camel at the gate. The people of Bani Tamim came to the Prophet who said O Bani Tamim! Accept the good tidings. They said twice, 'You have given us the good tidings, now give us something Then some Yemenites came to him and he said, Accept the good tidings, O people of Yemem, for Bani Tamim refused them. They said, We accept it, O Allah's Apostle! We have come to ask you about this matter (i.e. the start of creations). He said, First of all, there was nothing but Allah, and (then He created His Throne). His throne was over the water, and He wrote everything in the Book (in the Heaven) and created the Heavens and the Earth. Then a man shouted, O Ibn Husain! Your she-camel has gone away! So, I went away and could not see the she-camel because of the mirage. By Allah, I wished I had left that she-camel (but not that gathering).
