حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : كَانَ إِذَا قَفَلَ كَبَّرَ ثَلَاثًا ، قَالَ : آيِبُونَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ حَامِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا سَاجِدُونَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ ، وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ ، وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ .
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے جویریہ نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( جہاد سے ) واپس ہوتے تو تین بار اللہ اکبر کہتے ‘ اور یہ دعا پڑھتے «آيبون إن شاء الله تائبون عابدون حامدون لربنا ساجدون، صدق الله وعده، ونصر عبده، وهزم الأحزاب وحده» ”ان شاءاللہ ہم اللہ کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیں۔ ہم توبہ کرنے والے ہیں۔ اپنے رب کی عبادت کرنے والے ہیں۔ اس کی تعریف کرنے والے اور اس کے لیے سجدہ کرنے والے ہیں۔ اللہ نے اپنا وعدہ سچا کر دکھایا ‘ اپنے بندے کی مدد کی ‘ اور کافروں کے لشکر کو اسی اکیلے نے شکست دے دی۔“
Narrated `Abdullah: When the Prophet returned (from Jihad), he would say Takbir thrice and add, We are returning, if Allah wishes, with repentance and worshipping and praising (our Lord) and prostrating ourselves before our Lord. Allah fulfilled His Promise and helped His Slave, and He Alone defeated the (infidel) clans.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Masud: I asked Allah's Apostle, O Allah's Apostle! What is the best deed? He replied, To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times. I asked, What is next in goodness? He replied, To be good and dutiful to your parents. I further asked, what is next in goodness? He replied, To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause. I did not ask Allah's Apostle anymore and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Apostle said, There is no Hijra (i.e. migration) (from Mecca to Medina) after the Conquest (of Mecca), but Jihad and good intention remain; and if you are called (by the Muslim ruler) for fighting, go forth immediately.

Narrated Abu Huraira: A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward). He replied, I do not find such a deed. Then he added, Can you, while the Muslim fighter is in the battle-field, enter your mosque to perform prayers without cease and fast and never break your fast? The man said, But who can do that? Abu- Huraira added, The Mujahid (i.e. Muslim fighter) is rewarded even for the footsteps of his horse while it wanders bout (for grazing) tied in a long rope.

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Somebody asked, O Allah's Apostle! Who is the best among the people? Allah's Apostle replied A believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with his life and property. They asked, Who is next? He replied, A believer who stays in one of the mountain paths worshipping Allah and leaving the people secure from his mischief.
