حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ ابْنَ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ ، فَقَالَ : اقْتُلُوهُ .
ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فتح مکہ کے دن جب شہر میں داخل ہوئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سر مبارک پر خود تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب اسے اتار رہے تھے تو ایک شخص ( ابوبرزہ اسلمی ) نے آ کر آپ کو خبر دی کہ ابن خطل ( اسلام کا بدترین دشمن ) کعبہ کے پردے سے لٹکا ہوا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اسے وہیں قتل کر دو۔
Narrated Anas bin Malik (ra): Allah's Messenger (saws) entered (Makkah) in the year of the Conquest (of Makkah) wearing a helmet over his head. After he took it off, a man came and said, Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah. The Prophet (saws) said, Kill him.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Masud: I asked Allah's Apostle, O Allah's Apostle! What is the best deed? He replied, To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times. I asked, What is next in goodness? He replied, To be good and dutiful to your parents. I further asked, what is next in goodness? He replied, To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause. I did not ask Allah's Apostle anymore and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more.

Narrated Abu Huraira: A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward). He replied, I do not find such a deed. Then he added, Can you, while the Muslim fighter is in the battle-field, enter your mosque to perform prayers without cease and fast and never break your fast? The man said, But who can do that? Abu- Huraira added, The Mujahid (i.e. Muslim fighter) is rewarded even for the footsteps of his horse while it wanders bout (for grazing) tied in a long rope.

Allah's Apostle replied A believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with his life and property. They asked, Who is next? He replied, A believer who stays in one of the mountain paths worshipping Allah and leaving the people secure from his mischief.
