حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يُكْلَمُ أَحَدٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُكْلَمُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ إِلَّا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَاللَّوْنُ لَوْنُ الدَّمِ ، وَالرِّيحُ رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ .
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی ابوالزناد سے ‘ انہوں نے اعرج سے اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے جو شخص بھی اللہ کے راستے میں زخمی ہوا اور اللہ تعالیٰ خوب جانتا ہے کہ اس کے راستے میں کون زخمی ہوا ہے ‘ وہ قیامت کے دن اس طرح سے آئے گا کہ اس کے زخموں سے خون بہہ رہا ہو گا ‘ رنگ تو خون جیسا ہو گا لیکن اس میں خوشبو مشک جیسی ہو گی۔“
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, By Him in Whose Hands my soul is! Whoever is wounded in Allah's Cause....and Allah knows well who gets wounded in His Cause....will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound having the color of blood but the scent of musk.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Masud: I asked Allah's Apostle, O Allah's Apostle! What is the best deed? He replied, To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times. I asked, What is next in goodness? He replied, To be good and dutiful to your parents. I further asked, what is next in goodness? He replied, To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause. I did not ask Allah's Apostle anymore and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more.

Narrated `Aisha: (That she said), O Allah's Apostle! We consider Jihad as the best deed. Should we not fight in Allah's Cause? He said, The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj-Mabrur (i.e. Hajj which is done according to the Prophet's tradition and is accepted by Allah).

Narrated Abu Huraira: A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward). He replied, I do not find such a deed. Then he added, Can you, while the Muslim fighter is in the battle-field, enter your mosque to perform prayers without cease and fast and never break your fast? The man said, But who can do that? Abu- Huraira added, The Mujahid (i.e. Muslim fighter) is rewarded even for the footsteps of his horse while it wanders bout (for grazing) tied in a long rope.

Allah's Apostle replied A believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with his life and property. They asked, Who is next? He replied, A believer who stays in one of the mountain paths worshipping Allah and leaving the people secure from his mischief.
