حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , يَقُولُ : اشْتَكَى ابْنٌ لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ , قَالَ : فَمَاتَ وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ خَارِجٌ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ هَيَّأَتْ شَيْئًا وَنَحَّتْهُ فِي جَانِبِ الْبَيْتِ ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ , قَالَ : كَيْفَ الْغُلَامُ ؟ قَالَتْ : قَدْ هَدَأَتْ نَفْسُهُ , وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اسْتَرَاحَ ، وَظَنَّ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَنَّهَا صَادِقَةٌ , قَالَ : فَبَاتَ ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ اغْتَسَلَ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ أَعْلَمَتْهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ ، فَصَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَا كَانَ مِنْهُمَا , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ لَكُمَا فِي لَيْلَتِكُمَا ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ : فَرَأَيْتُ لَهُمَا تِسْعَةَ أَوْلَادٍ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ .
ہم سے بشر بن حکم نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہ انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ‘ آپ نے بتلایا کہ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا ایک بچہ بیمار ہو گیا انہوں نے کہا کہ اس کا انتقال بھی ہو گیا۔ اس وقت ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ گھر میں موجود نہ تھے۔ ان کی بیوی ( ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ) نے جب دیکھا کہ بچے کا انتقال ہو گیا تو انہوں نے کچھ کھانا تیار کیا اور بچے کو گھر کے ایک کونے میں لٹا دیا۔ جب ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے پوچھا کہ بچے کی طبیعت کیسی ہے؟ ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اسے آرام مل گیا ہے اور میرا خیال ہے کہ اب وہ آرام ہی کر رہا ہو گا۔ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے سمجھا کہ وہ صحیح کہہ رہی ہیں۔ ( اب بچہ اچھا ہے ) پھر ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس رات گزاری اور جب صبح ہوئی تو غسل کیا لیکن جب باہر جانے کا ارادہ کیا تو بیوی ( ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ) نے اطلاع دی کہ بچے کا انتقال ہو چکا ہے۔ پھر انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی اور آپ سے ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کا حال بیان کیا۔ اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ شاید اللہ تعالیٰ تم دونوں کو اس رات میں برکت عطا فرمائے گا۔ سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا کہ انصار کے ایک شخص نے بتایا کہ میں نے ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی انہیں بیوی سے نو بیٹے دیکھے جو سب کے سب قرآن کے عالم تھے۔
Narrated Anas bin Malik: One of the sons of Abu Talha became sick and died and Abu Talha at that time was not at home. When his wife saw that he was dead, she prepared him (washed and shrouded him) and placed him somewhere in the house. When Abu Talha came, he asked, How is the boy? She said, The child is quiet and I hope he is in peace. Abu Talha thought that she had spoken the truth. Abu Talha passed the night and in the morning took a bath and when he intended to go out, she told him that his son had died, Abu Talha offered the (morning) prayer with the Prophet and informed the Prophet of what happened to them. Allah's Apostle said, May Allah bless you concerning your night. (That is, may Allah bless you with good offspring). Sufyan said, One of the Ansar said, 'They (i.e. Abu Talha and his wife) had nine sons and all of them became reciters of the Qur'an (by heart).'

Narrated Abu Dhar: Allah's Apostle said, Someone came to me from my Lord and gave me the news (or good tidings) that if any of my followers dies worshipping none (in any way) along with Allah, he will enter Paradise. Narrated Al-Bara' bin `Azib: Allah's Apostle ordered us to do seven things and forbade us to do other seven. He ordered us: to follow the funeral procession. to visit the sick, to accept invitations, to help the oppressed, to fulfill the oaths, to return the greeting and to reply to the sneezer: (saying, May Allah be merciful on you, provided the sneezer says, All the praises are for Allah, ). He forbade us to use silver utensils and dishes and to wear golden rings, silk (clothes), Dibaj (pure silk cloth), Qissi and Istabraq (two kinds of silk cloths).

Narrated `Aisha: Abu Bakr came riding his horse from his dwelling place in As-Sunh. He got down from it, entered the Mosque and did not speak with anybody till he came to me and went direct to the Prophet, who was covered with a marked blanket. Abu Bakr uncovered his face. He knelt down and kissed him and then started weeping and said, My father and my mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Prophet! Allah will not combine two deaths on you. You have died the death which was written for you. Narrated Abu Salama from Ibn `Abbas : Abu Bakr came out and `Umar , was addressing the people, and Abu Bakr told him to sit down but `Umar refused. Abu Bakr again told him to sit down but `Umar again refused. Then Abu Bakr recited the Tashah-hud (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle) and the people attended to Abu Bakr and left `Umar. Abu Bakr said, Amma ba'du, whoever amongst you worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, Allah is alive and will never die. Allah said: 'Muhammad is no more than an Apostle and indeed (many) Apostles have passed away before him ..(up to the) grateful.' (3.144) (The narrator added, By Allah, it was as if the people never knew that Allah had revealed this verse before till Abu Bakr recited it and then whoever heard it, started reciting it. )
