حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ هُوَ مَدِينِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ أَخُو إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ نَجِيحٍ وَالِدُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ يُضَعِّفُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ لِلْمُسَافِرِ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ فِي بَيْتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَيْسَ لَهُ أَنْ يَقْصُرَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِنْ جِدَارِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَوِ الْقَرْيَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ:‏‏‏‏ إِسْحَاق بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ.

اس سند سے بھی   محمد بن کعب سے روایت ہے کہ میں رمضان میں انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کے پاس آیا پھر انہوں نے اسی طرح ذکر کیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اور محمد بن جعفر ہی ابن ابی کثیر مدینی ہیں اور ثقہ ہیں اور یہی اسماعیل بن جعفر کے بھائی ہیں اور عبداللہ بن جعفر علی بن عبداللہ مدینی کے والد ابن نجیح ہیں، یحییٰ بن معین ان کی تضعیف کرتے تھے، ۲- بعض اہل علم اسی حدیث کی طرف گئے ہیں، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ مسافر کے لیے جائز ہے کہ وہ اپنے گھر سے نکلنے سے پہلے افطار کرے لیکن اسے نماز قصر کرنے کی اجازت نہیں جب تک کہ شہر یا گاؤں کی فصیل سے باہر نہ نکل جائے۔ یہی اسحاق بن ابراہیم بن راہویہ حنظلی کا قول ہے۔

(Another chain) from Muhammad bin Ka'b who said: I went to Anas bin Malik during Ramadan and he mentioned a similar narration (as no. 799).

Hadith 682

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.' And that is every night.

Hadith 683

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever fasts Ramadan and stands (in the night prayer) for it out of faith and seeking a reward (from Allah), he will be forgiven what preceded of his sins. Whoever stands (in the night prayer) on the Night of Al-Qadr out of faith and seeking a reward (from Allah), he will be forgiven what preceded of his sins.

Hadith 684

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Prophet said: Do not precede the month with a day nor with two days, unless that fast falls on a day that one of you would have (normally) fasted. Fast with its sighting and break fast with its sighting, and if it is cloudy, then count for thirty days, and then break (the fast).

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: Do no precede the month of Ramadan by fasting a day or two before it, unless it is the case of a man who normally performs some fast, then let him fast it.

Silah bin Zufar said: We were with Ammar bin Yasir when a roasted sheep was brought and he said: 'Eat.' Someone among the people said: 'I am fasting.' So Ammar said: 'Whoever fasts on a day in which there is doubt, then he has disobeyed Abul-Qasim (pbuh).
