حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا بَقِيَ نِصْفٌ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَلَا تَصُومُوا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَلَى هَذَا اللَّفْظِ، وَمَعْنَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنْ يَكُونَ الرَّجُلُ مُفْطِرًا، فَإِذَا بَقِيَ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ شَيْءٌ أَخَذَ فِي الصَّوْمِ لِحَالِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا يُشْبِهُ قَوْلَهُمْ، حَيْثُ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا تَقَدَّمُوا شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ بِصِيَامٍ إِلَّا أَنْ يُوَافِقَ ذَلِكَ صَوْمًا كَانَ يَصُومُهُ أَحَدُكُمْ وَقَدْ دَلَّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّمَا الْكَرَاهِيَةُ عَلَى مَنْ يَتَعَمَّدُ الصِّيَامَ لِحَالِ رَمَضَانَ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب آدھا شعبان رہ جائے تو روزہ نہ رکھو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔ ہم اسے ان الفاظ کے ساتھ صرف اسی طریق سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- اور اس حدیث کا مفہوم بعض اہل علم کے نزدیک یہ ہے کہ آدمی پہلے سے روزہ نہ رکھ رہا ہو، پھر جب شعبان ختم ہونے کے کچھ دن باقی رہ جائیں تو ماہ رمضان کی تعظیم میں روزہ رکھنا شروع کر دے۔ نیز ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے مروی ہے انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے وہ چیزیں روایت کی ہے جو ان لوگوں کے قول سے ملتا جلتا ہے جیسا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ماہ رمضان کے استقبال میں پہلے سے روزہ نہ رکھو“ اس کے کہ ان ایام میں کوئی ایسا روزہ پڑ جائے جسے تم پہلے سے رکھتے آ رہے ہو۔ یہ حدیث اس بات پر دلالت کرتی ہے کہ کراہت اس شخص کے لیے ہے جو عمداً رمضان کی تعظیم میں روزہ رکھے۔
Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: When a half of Sha'ban remains then do not fast.

Abu Hurairah narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened.
