حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ طَاهِرًا أَوْ غَيْرَ طَاهِرٍ ،‏‏‏‏ قال:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ:‏‏‏‏ فَكَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تَصْنَعُونَ أَنْتُمْ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءًا وَاحِدًا. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدِيثُ حُمَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمَشْهُورُ عَنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ حَدِيثُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ كَانَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَرَى الْوُضُوءَ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ اسْتِحْبَابًا لَا عَلَى الْوُجُوبِ.

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم ہر نماز کے لیے وضو کرتے باوضو ہوتے یا بے وضو۔ حمید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس رضی الله عنہ سے پوچھا: آپ لوگ کیسے کرتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم ایک ہی وضو کرتے تھے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- حمید کی حدیث بواسطہ انس اس سند سے غریب ہے، اور محدثین کے نزدیک مشہور عمرو بن عامر والی حدیث ہے جو بواسطہ انس مروی ہے، اور بعض اہل علم ۲؎ کی رائے ہے کہ ہر نماز کے لیے وضو مستحب ہے نہ کہ واجب۔

Anas narrated that : The Prophet would perform wudu for every Salat, whether he was in state of purity or not in a state of purity.

Anas bin Malik said: When the Prophet entered the toilet he would say: 'O Allah Indeed I seek refuge in You.' Shu'bah (one of the narrators) said: Another time he said: 'I seek refuge in You from AI-Khubthi and al-Khablth.' Or: 'Al-Khubthi and Al-Khaba'ith.'
