حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِ: سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فِي رَكْعَةٍ رَكْعَةٍ ، قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَائِشَةَ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، وَيُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ فِي الْوِتْرِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ بِ: الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ، وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، وَالَّذِي اخْتَارَهُ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ بِ: سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِسُورَةٍ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وتر میں «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى»، «قل يا أيها الكافرون» اور «قل هو الله أحد» تینوں کو ایک ایک رکعت میں پڑھتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- اس باب میں علی، عائشہ اور عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ ( رضی الله عنہم ) جنہوں نے ابی بن کعب رضی الله عنہ سے روایت کی ہے، بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، اور اسے عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ سے بغیر ابی کے واسطے کے براہ راست نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بھی روایت کیا جاتا ہے، ۲- نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ بھی مروی ہے کہ آپ وتر میں تیسری رکعت میں معوذتین اور «قل هو الله أحد» پڑھتے تھے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد کے لوگوں میں سے اکثر اہل علم نے جس بات کو پسند کیا ہے، وہ یہ ہے کہ «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى»، «قل يا أيها الكافرون» اور «قل هو الله أحد» تینوں میں سے ایک ایک ہر رکعت میں پڑھتے۔
Ibn Abbas narrated: Allah's Messenger would recite during Al-Witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High' and, 'Say: O you disbelievers!' and, 'Say: Allah is One,' in each Rak'ah.
