حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ هُوَ الْأَعْرَجُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، وَهُوَ إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَقَدْ رَوَى هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے اعضائے وضو دو دو بار دھوئے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں جابر رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے، ۳- ہم یہ جانتے ہیں کہ اسے صرف ابن ثوبان نے عبداللہ بن فضل سے روایت کیا ہے اور یہ سند حسن صحیح ہے، ۴- ھمام نے بسند «عامر الا ٔ حول عن عطاء عن ابی ہریرہ» روایت کی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے اعضائے وضو تین تین بار دھوئے ۱؎۔
