حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: أَهْدَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاقَةً مِنْ إِبِلِهِ الَّتِي كَانُوا أَصَابُوا بِالْغَابَةِ، فَعَوَّضَهُ مِنْهَا بَعْضَ الْعِوَضِ، فَتَسَخَّطَهُ، فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رِجَالًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يُهْدِي أَحَدُهُمُ الْهَدِيَّةَ فَأُعَوِّضُهُ مِنْهَا بِقَدْرِ مَا عِنْدِي، ثُمَّ يَتَسَخَّطُهُ، فَيَظَلُّ يَتَسَخَّطُ فِيهِ عَلَيَّ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَا أَقْبَلُ بَعْدَ مَقَامِي هَذَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ هَدِيَّةً إِلَّا مِنْ قُرَشِيٍّ، أَوْ أَنْصَارِيٍّ، أَوْ ثَقَفِيٍّ، أَوْ دَوْسِيٍّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ قبیلہ بنی فزارہ کے ایک شخص نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اپنے ان اونٹوں میں سے جو اسے غابہ میں ملے تھے ایک اونٹنی ہدیہ میں دی تو آپ نے اسے اس کا کچھ عوض دیا، لیکن وہ آپ سے خفا رہا، تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو منبر پر فرماتے سنا کہ ”عربوں میں سے کچھ لوگ مجھے ہدیہ دیتے ہیں اور اس کے بدلہ میں انہیں جس قدر میرے پاس ہوتا ہے میں دیتا ہوں، پھر بھی وہ خفا رہتا ہے اور برابر مجھ سے اپنی خفگی جتاتا رہتا ہے، قسم اللہ کی! اس کے بعد میں عربوں میں سے کسی بھی آدمی کا ہدیہ قبول نہیں کروں گا سوائے قریشی، انصاری یا ثقفی یا دوسی کے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے اور یہ یزید بن ہارون کی روایت سے جسے وہ ایوب سے روایت کرتے ہیں زیادہ صحیح ہے۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: A man from Banu Fazarah gave a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ) of she-camel from his camels which they had taken at Al-Ghabah. So he reciprocated for it with something in return, but he was upset with it. So I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), upon [this] Minbar saying: 'Indeed one of the men from the Bedouins gave me a gift so I reciprocated for it to the extent of what I had. Then he became very upset with me. By Allah! After my experience with this Bedouin man, I shall not accept a gift from anyone except from a Quraishi, Ansari, Thaqafi, or Dawsi.'

Narrated Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and it is as if he heard something, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stood upon the Minbar and said: 'Who am I?' They said: 'You are the Messenger of Allah, upon you be peace.' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He put me in the best [group] of them, then He made them into two groups, so He put me in the best group of them, then He made them into tribes, so He put me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He put me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'
