حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَال: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ: هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ ؟ ، قَالُوا: لَا إِلَّا ابْنَ أُخْتٍ لَنَا، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ ابْنَ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ، وَمُصِيبَةٍ، وَإِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَجْبُرَهُمْ، وَأَتَأَلَّفَهُمْ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى بُيُوتِكُمْ ، قَالُوا: بَلَى، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( فتح مکہ کے وقت ) انصار کے کچھ لوگوں کو اکٹھا کیا ۱؎ اور فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے علاوہ تم میں کوئی اور ہے؟“ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: نہیں سوائے ہمارے بھانجے کے، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”قوم کا بھانجا تو قوم ہی میں داخل ہوتا ہے“، پھر آپ نے فرمایا: ”قریش اپنی جاہلیت اور ( کفر کی ) مصیبت سے نکل کر ابھی نئے نئے اسلام لائے ہیں۔ میں چاہتا ہوں کہ کچھ ان کی دلجوئی کروں اور انہیں مانوس کروں، ( اسی لیے مال غنیمت میں سے انہیں دیا ہے ) کیا تم یہ پسند نہیں کرتے کہ لوگ دنیا لے کر اپنے گھروں کو لوٹیں اور تم اللہ کے رسول کو لے کر اپنے گھر جاؤ“، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں، ہم اس پر راضی ہیں، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگ ایک وادی یا گھاٹی میں چلیں اور انصار دوسری وادی یا گھاٹی میں چلیں تو میں انصار کی وادی و گھاٹی میں چلوں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Narrated Anas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gathered a group of people from the Ansar and said: Come, is there anyone among you who is from other than you? They said: No, except the son of a sister of ours. So he said: The son of the sister of a people is from them. Then he said: Indeed the Quraish is not far from their time of ignorance and affliction, and I wished that I subdue them and coax them. Are you not happy that the people return with this world and you return to your homes with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? They said: Of course we are. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If the people were to pass through a valley or a path, and the Ansar passed through a valley or a path then I would pass through the valley or path of the Ansar.

Indeed the Quraish have sat and spoken between themselves about the best of them, and they made your likeness as that of a palm tree in a wasteland.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed, Allah created the creation and made me [from the best of them,] from the best of their categories, and the best of the two categories (Arabs and Non-Arabs), then He chose between the tribes and made me from the best tribe, then He chose between the houses and made me from the best house. So I am the best of them in person and the best of them in house.'

Narrated Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and it is as if he heard something, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stood upon the Minbar and said: 'Who am I?' They said: 'You are the Messenger of Allah, upon you be peace.' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He put me in the best [group] of them, then He made them into two groups, so He put me in the best group of them, then He made them into tribes, so He put me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He put me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'
