حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حميد، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: بَلَغَ صَفِيَّةَ أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ: بِنْتُ يَهُودِيٍّ فَبَكَتْ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي، فَقَالَ: مَا يُبْكِيكِ ؟ ، فَقَالَتْ: قَالَتْ لِي حَفْصَةُ: إِنِّي بِنْتُ يَهُودِيٍّ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّكِ لَابْنَةُ نَبِيٍّ، وَإِنَّ عَمَّكِ لَنَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّكِ لَتَحْتَ نَبِيٍّ، فَفِيمَ تَفْخَرُ عَلَيْكِ ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ: اتَّقِي اللَّهَ يَا حَفْصَةُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ام المؤمنین صفیہ رضی الله عنہا کو یہ بات پہنچی کہ ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی الله عنہا نے انہیں یہودی کی بیٹی ہونے کا طعنہ دیا ہے، تو وہ رونے لگیں، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس آئے تو وہ رو رہی تھیں، آپ نے پوچھا: تم کیوں رو رہی ہو؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: حفصہ نے مجھے یہ طعنہ دیا ہے کہ میں یہودی کی بیٹی ہوں، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تو ایک نبی کی بیٹی ہے، تیرا چچا بھی نبی ہے ۱؎ اور تو ایک نبی کے عقد میں ہے، تو وہ کس بات میں تجھ پر فخر کر رہی ہے، پھر آپ نے ( حفصہ سے ) فرمایا: ”حفصہ! اللہ سے ڈر“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
Narrated Anas: said: It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'

Narrated Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and it is as if he heard something, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stood upon the Minbar and said: 'Who am I?' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He put me in the best [group] of them, then He made them into two groups, so He put me in the best group of them, then He made them into tribes, so He put me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He put me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'
