حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ دُرُسْتَ بَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّاسُ يَتَحَرَّوْنَ بِهَدَايَاهُمْ يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: فَاجْتَمَعَ صَوَاحِبَاتِي إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَقُلْنَ: يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَتَحَرَّوْنَ بِهَدَايَاهُمْ يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ، وَإِنَّا نُرِيدُ الْخَيْرَ كَمَا تُرِيدُ عَائِشَةُ فَقُولِي لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرِ النَّاسَ يُهْدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَيْنَمَا كَانَ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا ثُمَّ عَادَ إِلَيْهَا، فَأَعَادَتِ الْكَلَامَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ صَوَاحِبَاتِي قَدْ ذَكَرْنَ أَنَّ النَّاسَ يَتَحَرَّوْنَ بِهَدَايَاهُمْ يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ، فَأْمُرِ النَّاسَ يُهْدُونَ أَيْنَمَا كُنْتَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ الثَّالِثَةُ قَالَتْ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ لَا تُؤْذِينِي فِي عَائِشَةَ، فَإِنَّهُ مَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ الْوَحْيُ وَأَنَا فِي لِحَافِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْكُنَّ غَيْرِهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، وَقَدْ رَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ رُمَيْثَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ شَيْئًا مِنْ هَذَا، وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَلَى رِوَايَاتٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ، وَقَدْ رَوَى سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ.
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ لوگ اپنے ہدئیے تحفے بھیجنے کے لیے عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کے دن ( باری کے دن ) کی تلاش میں رہتے تھے، تو میری سوکنیں سب ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا کے یہاں جمع ہوئیں، اور کہنے لگیں: ام سلمہ! لوگ اپنے ہدایا بھیجنے کے لیے عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کے دن کی تلاش میں رہتے ہیں اور ہم سب بھی خیر کی اسی طرح خواہاں ہیں جیسے عائشہ ہیں، تو تم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جا کر کہو کہ آپ لوگوں سے کہہ دیں کہ آپ جہاں بھی ہوں ( یعنی جس کے یہاں بھی باری ہو ) وہ لوگ وہیں آپ کو ہدایا بھیجا کریں، چنانچہ ام سلمہ نے اس کا ذکر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا، تو آپ نے اعراض کیا، اور ان کی بات کی طرف کوئی توجہ نہیں دی، پھر آپ ان کی طرف پلٹے تو انہوں نے اپنی بات پھر دہرائی اور بولیں: میری سوکنیں کہتی ہیں کہ لوگ اپنے ہدایا کے لیے عائشہ کی باری کی تاک میں رہتے ہیں تو آپ لوگوں سے کہہ دیں کہ آپ جہاں بھی ہوں وہ ہدایا بھیجا کریں، پھر جب انہوں نے تیسری بار آپ سے یہی کہا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ام سلمہ تم عائشہ کے سلسلہ میں مجھے نہ ستاؤ کیونکہ عائشہ کے علاوہ تم سب میں سے کوئی عورت ایسی نہیں جس کے لحاف میں مجھ پر وحی اتری ہو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- بعض راویوں نے اس حدیث کو حماد بن زید سے، حماد نے ہشام بن عروہ سے اور ہشام نے اپنے باپ عروہ کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے، ۳- یہ حدیث ہشام بن عروہ کے طریق سے عوف بن حارث سے بھی آئی ہے جسے عوف بن حارث نے رمیثہ کے واسطہ سے ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا سے اس کا کچھ حصہ روایت کیا ہے، ہشام بن عروہ سے مروی یہ حدیث مختلف طریقوں سے آئی ہے، ۴- سلیمان بن بلال نے بھی بطریق: «هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة» حماد بن زید کی حدیث کی طرح روایت کی ہے۔
Narrated 'Aishah: The people used to give their gifts [to the Prophet (ﷺ)] on 'Aishah's day. She said: So my companions gathered with Umm Salamah and they said 'O Umm Salamah! The people give their gifts on 'Aishah's day, and we desire good as 'Aishah desires, so tell the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to order the people to give (their gifts to) him no matter where he is.' So Umm Salamah said that, and he turned away from her. Then he turned back to her and she repeated the words saying: 'O Messenger of Allah! My companions have mentioned that the people give their gifts on 'Aishah's day, so order the people to give them no matter where you are.' So upon the third time she said that, he said: 'O Umm Salamah! Do not bother me about 'Aishah! For Revelation has not been sent down upon me while I was under the blankets of a woman among you other than her.'

Indeed the Quraish have sat and spoken between themselves about the best of them, and they made your likeness as that of a palm tree in a wasteland.' Narrated Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and it is as if he heard something, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stood upon the Minbar and said: 'Who am I?' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He put me in the best [group] of them, then He made them into two groups, so He put me in the best group of them, then He made them into tribes, so He put me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He put me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'
