حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمْ، قِيلَ: وَكَيْفَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحِرَاءَ، فَقَالَ: اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ، أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ، أَوْ شَهِيدٌ ، قِيلَ: وَمَنْ هُمْ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وَعَلِيٌّ، وَطَلْحَةُ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ، وَسَعْدٌ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، قِيلَ: فَمَنِ الْعَاشِرُ ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
سعید بن زید بن عمرو بن نفیل رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نو اشخاص کے سلسلے میں اس بات کی گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ یہ لوگ جنتی ہیں اور اگر میں دسویں کے سلسلے میں گواہی دوں تو بھی گنہگار نہیں ہوں گا، آپ سے کہا گیا: یہ کیسے ہے؟ ( ذرا اس کی وضاحت کیجئے ) تو انہوں نے کہا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ حرا پہاڑ پر تھے تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”ٹھہرا رہ اے حرا! تیرے اوپر ایک نبی، یا صدیق، یا شہید ۱؎ کے علاوہ کوئی اور نہیں“، عرض کیا گیا: وہ کون لوگ ہیں جنہیں آپ نے صدیق یا شہید فرمایا ہے؟ ( انہوں نے کہا ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ ابوبکر، عمر، عثمان، علی، طلحہ، زبیر، سعد اور عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف ہیں رضی الله عنہم، پوچھا گیا: دسویں شخص کون ہیں؟ تو سعید نے کہا: وہ میں ہوں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث کئی سندوں سے سعید بن زید رضی الله عنہ کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آئی ہے۔
Narrated 'Abdullah bin Zalim Al-Mazini: that Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail said: I bear witness for nine people, that they are in Paradise, and if I were to bear witness for a tenth, I would not be sinful. It was said: How is that? He said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at (mount) Hira when he said, 'Be firm, Hira! There is not upon you any but a Prophet, or a Siddiq, or a martyr. It was said: And who were they? He said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, 'Ali, Talhah, Az-Zubair, Sa'd, and 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf. It was said: And who is the tenth? He said: Me.

Indeed the Quraish have sat and spoken between themselves about the best of them, and they made your likeness as that of a palm tree in a wasteland.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed, Allah created the creation and made me [from the best of them,] from the best of their categories, and the best of the two categories (Arabs and Non-Arabs), then He chose between the tribes and made me from the best tribe, then He chose between the houses and made me from the best house. So I am the best of them in person and the best of them in house.'

Narrated Al-Muttalib bin Abi Wada'ah: Al-Abbas came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and it is as if he heard something, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stood upon the Minbar and said: 'Who am I?' They said: 'You are the Messenger of Allah, upon you be peace.' He said: 'I am Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, indeed Allah created the creation, and He put me in the best [group] of them, then He made them into two groups, so He put me in the best group of them, then He made them into tribes, so He put me in the best of them in tribe, then He made them into houses, so He put me in the best of them in tribe and lineage.'
