حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ الْعَمِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الدُّعَاءُ لَا يُرَدُّ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ ، قَالُوا: فَمَاذَا نَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ: سَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَسَنٌ، وَقَدْ زَادَ يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ هَذَا الْحَرْفَ قَالُوا: فَمَاذَا نَقُولُ ؟ قَالَ: سَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ .
انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اذان اور اقامت کے درمیان مانگی جانے والی دعا لوٹائی نہیں جاتی“، ( یعنی قبول ہو جاتی ہے ) لوگوں نے پوچھا: اس دوران ہم کون سی دعا مانگیں، اے اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: ”دنیا اور آخرت ( دونوں ) میں عافیت مانگو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے، یحییٰ بن ابان نے اس حدیث میں اس عبارت کا اضافہ کیا ہے کہ ان لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ ہم کیا کہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”دنیا و آخرت میں عافیت ( یعنی امن و سکون ) مانگو“۔
Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The supplication is not rejected between the Adhan and the Iqamah.” They said: “So what should we say, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?” He said: “Ask Allah for Al-`Afiyah in the world and in the Hereafter.”

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”
