حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَال: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَسَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الْعَبْدِ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ فَكُنْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
عمرو بن عنبسہ رضی الله عنہ کا بیان ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”رب تعالیٰ اپنے بندے سے سب سے زیادہ قریب رات کے آخری نصف حصے کے درمیان میں ہوتا ہے، تو اگر تم ان لوگوں میں سے ہو سکو جو رات کے اس حصے میں اللہ کا ذکر کرتے ہیں تو تم بھی اس ذکر میں شامل ہو کر ان لوگوں میں سے ہو جاؤ ( یعنی تہجد پڑھو ) “۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
Abu Umamah [may Allah be pleased with him] said: `Amr bin `Abasah reported to me that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “The closest that the Lord is to a worshipper is during the last part of the night, so if you are able to be of those who remember Allah in that hour, then do so.”

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”
