حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ تَحْتَ رَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ أَوْ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
حذیفہ بن یمان رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سونے کا ارادہ کرتے تو اپنا ہاتھ اپنے سر کے نیچے رکھتے، پھر پڑھتے: «اللهم قني عذابك يوم تجمع أو تبعث عبادك» ”اے اللہ! مجھے تو اس دن کے عذاب سے بچا لے جس دن تو اپنے بندوں کو جمع کرے گا یا اٹھائے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman (ra) narrated that: When the Prophet (ﷺ) would sleep, he would put his hand under his head then say: “O Allah, safeguard me from Your Punishment the Day You gather [Your slaves] (Allāhumma qinī `adhābaka yawma tajma`u [`ibādak])” or “you resurrect your slaves (tab`athu `ibādak).”

When we returned, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbīr, and they raised their voices with it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”
