حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ سورة العلق آية 18، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ:‏‏‏‏ لَئِنْ رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يُصَلِّي لَأَطَأَنَّ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ فَعَلَ لَأَخَذَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِيَانًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.

  عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما آیت «سندع الزبانية» ”ہم بھی جہنم کے پیادوں کو بلا لیں گے“ ( العلق: ۱۸ ) ، کی تفسیر کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں: ابوجہل نے کہا: اگر میں نے محمد ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کو نماز پڑھتے دیکھ لیا تو اس کی گردن کو لاتوں سے روندوں گا، یہ بات آپ نے سنی تو فرمایا: ”اگر وہ ایسا کرتا تو فرشتے اسے دیکھتے ہی دبوچ لیتے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔

Ikrimah narrated from Ibn Abbas [may Allah be pleased with them] regarding: We will call on the guards of Hell. He said: “Abu Jahl said: ‘If I see Muhammad praying, then I shall stomp upon his neck.’ So the Prophet said: ‘If he does, he will be visibly seized by the angels.’”
