حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ:‏‏‏‏ الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلا اللَّمَمَ سورة النجم آية 32 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنْ تَغْفِرِ اللَّهُمَّ تَغْفِرْ جَمَّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَيُّ عَبْدٍ لَكَ لَا أَلَمَّا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ إِسْحَاق.

  عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما آیت «الذين يجتنبون كبائر الإثم والفواحش إلا اللمم» ”جو لوگ بڑے گناہوں سے بچتے ہیں مگر چھوٹے گناہ ( جو کبھی ان سے سرزد ہو جائیں تو وہ بھی معاف ہو جائیں گے ) “ ( النجم: ۳۲ ) ، کی تفسیر میں کہتے ہیں: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے رب اگر بخشتا ہے تو سب ہی گناہ بخش دے، اور تیرا کون سا بندہ ایسا ہے جس سے کوئی چھوٹا گناہ بھی سرزد نہ ہوا ہو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف زکریا بن اسحاق کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

Narrated 'Ata: from Ibn 'Abbas (regarding this Ayah): Those who avoid great sins and Al-Fawahish except Al-Lamam (minor sins) (53:32). He said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Your forgiveness, O Allah is so ample, and which of Your worshipers has not committed Al-Lamam (minor sins)!'
