حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى ‏‏‏‏ 9 ‏‏‏‏ فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى ‏‏‏‏ 10 ‏‏‏‏ سورة النجم آية 9-10، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى ‏‏‏‏ 13 ‏‏‏‏ عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى ‏‏‏‏ 14 ‏‏‏‏ سورة النجم آية 13-14 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ رَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.

ابوسلمہ سے روایت ہے کہ   ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما نے آیت: «ولقد رآه نزلة أخرى عند سدرة المنتهى» ۱؎ «فأوحى إلى عبده ما أوحى» ۲؎ «فكان قاب قوسين أو أدنى» ۳؎ کی تفسیر میں کہا: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کو دیکھا ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔

Narrated Abu Salamah: from Ibn 'Abbas regarding Allah's saying: And indeed he saw him at a second descent. Near Sidrat Al-Muntaha (53:13 & 14). So He revealed to His worshiper whatever he revealed (53:10). And was a distance of two bow lengths or less (53:9). Ibn 'Abbas said: The Prophet (ﷺ) saw Him.
