حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ سورة محمد آية 19، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً ، قَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَيُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَيْضًا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ، وَرَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت: «واستغفر لذنبك وللمؤمنين والمؤمنات» ”تو اپنے گناہوں کے لیے اور مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں کے لیے مغفرت مانگ“ ( محمد: ۱۹ ) ، کی تفسیر میں فرمایا: ”میں اللہ سے ہر دن ستر بار مغفرت طلب کرتا ہوں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے یہ بھی مروی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں دن میں اللہ سے سو بار مغفرت طلب کرتا ہوں“، ۳- نیز متعدد دیگر سندوں سے بھی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے کہ میں اللہ سے ہر دن سو مرتبہ استغفار طلب کرتا ہوں۔
Narrated Az-Zuhri: from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] (regarding): 'And seek forgiveness for your sins, and also for the believing men and women (47:19).' That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed I ask Allah for forgiveness seventy times a day.
