حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ يَهُودِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ سورة الأنعام آية 91 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک یہودی نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر کہا: محمد! اللہ آسمانوں کو ایک انگلی پر روکے ہوئے ہے، زمینوں کو ایک انگلی پر اٹھائے ہوئے ہے، پہاڑوں کو ایک انگلی سے تھامے ہوئے ہے، اور مخلوقات کو ایک انگلی پر آباد کئے ہوئے ہے، پھر کہتا ہے: میں ہی ( ساری کائنات کا ) بادشاہ ہوں۔ ( یہ سن کر ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھلکھلا کر ہنس پڑے، فرمایا: ”پھر بھی لوگوں نے اللہ کی قدر و عزت نہ کی جیسی کہ کرنی چاہیئے تھی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Narrated 'Abdullah: A Jew came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: 'O Muhammad! Allah will seize the heavens upon a finger, the mountains upon a finger, the earths upon a finger, and the rest of creation upon a finger. Then He says: 'I am the King.' He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) laughed until his molars were visible. He said: They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him (39:67).
