حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّمَا سُمِّيَ الْخَضِرَ لِأَنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى فَرْوَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ فَاهْتَزَّتْ تَحْتَهُ خَضْرَاءَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”خضر نام اس لیے پڑا کہ وہ سوکھی ہوئی گھاس پر بیٹھے، تو وہ ہری گھاس میں تبدیل ہو گئی“ ( یہ اللہ کی طرف سے معجزہ تھا ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He was called Al-Khadir because he sat on a barren Farwah and it turned green beneath him.
