حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الزَّعَافِرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ فِي قَوْلِهِ:‏‏‏‏ عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا سورة الإسراء آية 79 سُئِلَ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هِيَ الشَّفَاعَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَدَاوُدُ الزَّعَافِرِيُّ هُوَ دَاوُدُ الْأَوْدِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ عَمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت: «عسى أن يبعثك ربك مقاما محمودا» ”عنقریب آپ کا رب آپ کو مقام محمود میں کھڑا کرے گا“ ( بنی اسرائیل: ۷۹ ) ، کے بارے میں پوچھے جانے پر فرمایا: ”اس سے مراد شفاعت ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اور داود زغافری: داود اود بن یزید بن عبداللہ اودی ہیں، اور یہ عبداللہ بن ادریس کے چچا ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: regarding Allah's saying: It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station (17:79) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about it and he said: It is the intercession.
