حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ذَكَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ يَدُسُّ فِي فِي فِرْعَوْنَ الطِّينَ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَقُولَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُ، أَوْ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ذکر کیا کہ ( جب فرعون ڈوبنے لگا ) جبرائیل علیہ السلام فرعون کے منہ میں مٹی ٹھونسنے لگے، اس ڈر سے کہ وہ کہیں «لا إلٰہ إلا اللہ» نہ کہہ دے تو اللہ کو اس پر رحم آ جائے۔ راوی کو شک ہو گیا ہے کہ آپ نے «خشية أن يقول لا إله إلا الله» کہا یا «خشية أن يرحمه الله» کہا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
Narrated Shu'bah: 'Adi bin Thabit and 'Ata bin As-Sa'ib informed me, from Sa'eed bin Jubair, from Ibn 'Abbas - and one of them mentioned that it was from the Prophet (ﷺ) - that he mentioned that Jibra'il began shoving clay in the mouth of Fir'awn out of fear that he would say La Ilaha Illallah and Allah would have mercy upon him - or fearing that Allah would have mercy upon him.
