حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوا إِذَا مَا اتَّقَوْا وَآمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سورة المائدة آية 93 ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ جب شراب کی حرمت نازل ہوئی تو صحابہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! جو لوگ شراب پیتے تھے اور مر گئے ان کا کیا ہو گا؟ اس وقت آیت «ليس على الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جناح فيما طعموا إذا ما اتقوا وآمنوا وعملوا الصالحات» ”ان لوگوں پر جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کیے اس چیز میں کوئی گناہ نہیں جو انہوں نے ( حرمت سے پہلے ) کھائے پئے جب کہ انہوں نے پرہیزگاری اختیار کر لی، ایمان لائے اور اچھے عمل کیے“ ( المائدہ: ۹۳ ) ، نازل ہوئی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: They (the Companions) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how do you hold those who died while they were drinking Khamr - considering that the prohibition of intoxicants is now revealed?' So, (the following) Ayah was revealed: Those who believe and do righteous good deeds, there is no sin on them for what they ate (in the past), if they fear Allah and believe and do righteous good deeds.
