حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْمَعْنَى وَاحِدٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ مُحَيْصِنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ سورة النساء آية 123 شَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَشَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا وَفِي كُلِّ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ كَفَّارَةٌ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةَ يُشَاكُهَا أَوِ النَّكْبَةَ يُنْكَبُهَا ، ابْنُ مُحَيْصِنٍ هُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَيْصِنٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب آیت «من يعمل سوءا يجز به» ”جو کوئی برائی کرے گا ضرور اس کا بدلہ پائے گا“ ( النساء: ۱۲۳ ) ، نازل ہوئی تو یہ بات مسلمانوں پر بڑی گراں گزری، اس کی شکایت انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کی، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”حق کے قریب ہو جاؤ، اور سیدھے رہو، مومن کو جو بھی مصیبت پہنچتی ہے اس میں اس کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہوتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ آدمی کو کوئی کانٹا چبھ جائے یا اسے کوئی مصیبت پہنچ جائے ( تو اس کے سبب سے بھی اس کے گناہ جھڑ جاتے ہیں ) “۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: When the following was revealed: 'Whoever works evil will have the recompense of it... (4:123)' That worried the Muslims, so they complained about that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: Seek closeness and be steadfast, and in all that afflicts the believer there is atonement, even a thorn that pricks him, and the hardship he suffers.
