حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلَكْتُ، قَالَ: وَمَا أَهْلَكَكَ ؟ قَالَ: حَوَّلْتُ رَحْلِي اللَّيْلَةَ، قَالَ: فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا، قَالَ: فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ سورة البقرة آية 223 أَقْبِلْ وَأَدْبِرْ وَاتَّقِ الدُّبُرَ وَالْحَيْضَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ هُوَ يَعْقُوبُ الْقُمِّيُّ.
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ عمر رضی الله عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں تو ہلاک ہو گیا، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کس چیز نے تمہیں ہلاک کر دیا؟“ کہا: رات میں نے سواری تبدیل کر دی ( یعنی میں نے بیوی سے آگے کے بجائے پیچھے کی طرف سے صحبت کر لی ) ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( یہ سن کر ) انہیں کوئی جواب نہ دیا، تو آپ پر یہ آیت: «نساؤكم حرث لكم فأتوا حرثكم أنى شئتم» نازل ہوئی، بیوی سے آگے سے صحبت کرو چاہے پیچھے کی طرف سے کرو، مگر دبر سے اور حیض سے بچو۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: 'Umar came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined!' He said: 'Why are you ruined?' He said: 'I turned my mount during the night (meaning that he went into his wife from behind).' He said: So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not say anything in reply to him. Then Allah revealed this Ayah to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): 'Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth when or how you will (2:223).' From the front, the back, avoiding the anus, and menstruation.
