حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ وَهُوَ هَمَّامُ بْنُ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَال: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ حَدِيثًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنِّي إِلَّا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ وَكُنْتُ لَا أَكْتُبُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَوَهْبُ بْنُ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ هُوَ هَمَّامُ بْنُ مُنَبِّهٍ.
ہمام بن منبہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ میں سوائے عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے حدیث بیان کرنے والا مجھ سے زیادہ کوئی نہیں ہے اور میرے اور عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہ کے درمیان یہ فرق تھا کہ وہ ( احادیث ) لکھ لیتے تھے اور میں لکھتا نہیں تھا ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اور روایت میں «وهب بن منبه، عن أخيه» جو آیا، تو «أخيه» سے مراد ہمام بن منبہ ہیں۔
