حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْكِتَابَةِ فَلَمْ يَأْذَنْ لَنَا ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ أَيْضًا عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، رَوَاهُ هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ.
ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے ( ابتداء اسلام میں ) نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے علم ( حدیث ) لکھ لینے کی اجازت طلب کی تو آپ نے ہمیں لکھنے کی اجازت نہ دی ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند کے علاوہ دوسری سند سے بھی زید بن اسلم کے واسطہ سے آئی ہے، اور اسے ہمام نے زید بن اسلم سے روایت کیا ہے۔
Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri: We sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for writing but he did not permit us.
