حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ بْنِ هَارُونَ الْغَسَّانِيِّ: حَدَّثَكُمْ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: إِذَا كَذَبَ الْعَبْدُ تَبَاعَدَ عَنْهُ الْمَلَكُ مِيلًا مِنْ نَتْنِ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ هَارُونَ، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ هَارُونَ.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب بندہ جھوٹ بولتا ہے تو اس جھوٹ کی بدبو کی وجہ سے فرشتہ اس سے ایک میل دور بھاگتا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن جید غریب ہے ۲- یحییٰ بن موسیٰ کہتے ہیں: میں نے عبدالرحیم بن ہارون سے پوچھا: کیا آپ سے عبدالعزیز بن ابی داود نے یہ حدیث بیان کی؟ کہا: ہاں، ۳- ہم اسے صرف اسی طریق سے جانتے ہیں، اس کی روایت کرنے میں عبدالرحیم بن ہارون منفرد ہیں۔
Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: When the slave (of Allah) lies, the angel goes a mile away from him because of the stench of what he has done. Yahya said: (I asked) 'Abdur-Rahim bin Harun if he approved of it,and he said 'Yes'.

Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father, from his grandfather who said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Who most deserves(my) reverence?' He said: 'Your mother.' He said: I said: 'Then who?' Then the messenger of Allah was silent, and if I had asked him more, he would have told me more.'

Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrated from his father who said: The messenger of Allah said: 'Shall I not tell you of the biggest of the major sins?' they said : 'Of course! O Messenger of Allah!' He said: 'To join partners with Allah, and disobeying one's parents.' He said : He sat up, and he had been reclining. He said: 'And false testimony, or false speech.' And the Messenger of Allah would not stop saying it until we said (to ourselves): 'I wish that he would stop.'
