حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ، وَاقْتُلُوا ذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ، وَالْأَبْتَرَ، فَإِنَّهُمَا يَلْتَمِسَانِ الْبَصَرَ، وَيُسْقِطَانِ الْحُبْلَى ، قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، وَعَائِشَةَ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: نَهَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ قَتْلِ حَياتِ الْبُيُوتِ وَهِيَ: الْعَوَامِرُ ، وَيُرْوَى عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ أَيْضًا، وقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ: إِنَّمَا يُكْرَهُ مِنْ قَتْلِ الْحَيَّاتِ قَتْلُ الْحَيَّةِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ دَقِيقَةً، كَأَنَّهَا فِضَّةٌ، وَلَا تَلْتَوِي فِي مِشْيَتِهَا.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”سانپوں کو مارو، خاص طور سے اس سانپ کو مارو جس کی پیٹھ پہ دو ( کالی ) لکیریں ہوتی ہیں اور اس سانپ کو جس کی دم چھوٹی ہوتی ہے اس لیے کہ یہ دونوں بینائی کو زائل کر دیتے ہیں اور حمل کو گرا دیتے ہیں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے مروی ہے وہ ابولبابہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کے بعد گھروں میں رہنے والے سانپوں کو جنہیں «عوامر» ( بستیوں میں رہنے والے سانپ ) کہا جاتا ہے، مارنے سے منع فرمایا ۲؎: ابن عمر اس حدیث کو زید بن خطاب ۳؎ سے بھی روایت کرتے ہیں، ۳- اس باب میں ابن مسعود، عائشہ، ابوہریرہ اور سہل بن سعد رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۴- عبداللہ بن مبارک کہتے ہیں: سانپوں کے اقسام میں سے اس سانپ کو بھی مارنا مکروہ ہے جو پتلا ( اور سفید ) ہوتا ہے گویا کہ وہ چاندی ہو، وہ چلنے میں بل نہیں کھاتا بلکہ سیدھا چلتا ہے۔
Narrated Ibn 'Umar: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Kill snakes and kill Dhut-Tufyatain and Al-Abtar, because they blind the sight and cause abortions of fetuses.

Narrated Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We are a people who hunt.' He said: 'If you send your dog and you mentioned the Name of Allah upon it, and he catches something for you, then eat it.' I said: 'Even if he kills it?' He said: 'Even if he kills it.' I said: 'We are a people who shoot (at game).' He said: 'What you catch with your bow, then eat it.' He said: Then I said:'Indeed we are a people who travel. We come across Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians, and we do not find vessels other than theirs.' He said: 'If you do not find other than them, then wash them with water, then eat and drink from it.'

Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We send our trained dogs to catch game for us.' He said: 'Eat what it catches for you.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, and if they kill it?' He said: 'Even if they kill it, as long as they are not accompanied by some other dogs besides them.' He said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We hunt with the Mir'ad.' He said: 'Eat of the game what the Mir'ad pierces, but whatever is struck by its broad side, then do not eat it.'
