حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا، وَكَانَ أَبِي يَكْرَهُهَا، فَأَمَرَنِي أَبِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا، فَأَبَيْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، طَلِّقْ امْرَأَتَكَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفَهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میرے نکاح میں ایک عورت تھی، میں اس سے محبت کرتا تھا، اور میرے والد اسے ناپسند کرتے تھے۔ میرے والد نے مجھے حکم دیا کہ میں اسے طلاق دے دوں، لیکن میں نے ان کی بات نہیں مانی۔ پھر میں نے اس کا ذکر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”عبداللہ بن عمر! تم اپنی بیوی کو طلاق دے دو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ہم اسے صرف ابن ابی ذئب ہی کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔
Ibn Umar narrated: I had a wife whom I loved, but my father disliked her, so he ordered me to divorce her but I refused. I mentioned that to the Prophet and he said: 'O Abdullah bin Umar! Divorce your wife.'

Yunus bin Jubair said: I asked Ibn Umar about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating. So he said: 'Don't you know Abdullah bin Umar?'
