حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُجَصَّصَ الْقُبُورُ، وَأَنْ يُكْتَبَ عَلَيْهَا، وَأَنْ يُبْنَى عَلَيْهَا، وَأَنْ تُوطَأَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، وَقَدْ رَخَّصَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، مِنْهُمْ الْحَسَنُ الْبَصْرِيُّ فِي تَطْيِينِ الْقُبُورِ، وقَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يُطَيَّنَ الْقَبْرُ.
جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس بات سے منع فرمایا ہے کہ قبریں پختہ کی جائیں ۱؎، ان پر لکھا جائے ۲؎ اور ان پر عمارت بنائی جائے ۳؎ اور انہیں روندا جائے ۴؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ اور بھی طرق سے جابر سے مروی ہے، ۳- بعض اہل علم نے قبروں پر مٹی ڈالنے کی اجازت دی ہے، انہیں میں سے حسن بصری بھی ہیں، ۴- شافعی کہتے ہیں: قبروں پر مٹی ڈالنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے۔
Jabir narrated: The Messenger of Allah prohibited plastering graves, writing on them, building over them, and treading on them.

Thuwair [and he is Ibn Abi Fakhitah] narrated that : His father said: Ali took me by the hand and said: 'Come with us to pay a visit to Al-Hasan.' So we found that Abu Musa was with him.' Ali - peace be upon him - said: 'O Abu Musa! Did you come to visit (the sick) or merely (stop by to) visit?' He said: 'No, to visit (the sick).' So Ali said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: No Muslim visits (the sick) Muslims in the morning, except that sevety-thousand angels, sent Salat upon him until the evening, and he does not visit at night except that seventy thousand angels sent Salat upon him until the morning, and there will be a garden for him in Paradise.
